Printable guest book for your rental
Make a guest book (or visitors' book) for your Airbnb or holiday home: a cover with your property's name, a welcome page and as many guest pages as you need, with questions that make guests write more than "Lovely stay, thanks!". Print it in your guests' language, or in two.

Welcome
We hope you feel at home here. Before you leave, please write a few lines in this book: what you enjoyed, where you ate, what you would tell a friend. Your tips help the guests who come after you, and we read every page.

Print on thick paper, double-sided if your printer can, then put the pages in a ring binder or have them bound at a copy shop.

Guest book ideas: questions guests like to answer
A blank page gets a line or two. A question gets a story, and the answers become tips for the next guests:
- Who stayed here and where you came from: the start of every entry, and fun to read on a map later.
- The best moment of your stay: the line you'll remember.
- The best thing you ate nearby: a living restaurant guide written by your guests.
- A tip for the next guests and a hidden gem you discovered: guests read these before they plan their day.
- What you would do next time: tells you what your guests missed.
- Rate your stay: five stars to colour in, quick for anyone in a hurry on check-out day.
- A message for your hosts and a box to draw in or stick a photo: children love the box.
Add your own: the best hike, the bakery that opens first, the sunset spot.
How to get guests to write in it
- Leave it in sight on the dining or coffee table, open, with a good pen next to it.
- Write the first entry yourself, so the book never looks empty.
- Mention it in your welcome book and your check-out instructions: "Before you go, leave us a line in the guest book".
- Print it in their language. Add a second language for guests from abroad.
Printing and binding
Print the guest pages on 100 to 120 g/m² paper, thick enough for fountain pens and felt tips, and the cover on card. A ring binder lets you add pages as the book fills up; a copy shop can bind it with a spiral or a hard cover for a few euros. Two guests per page fits more entries; one guest per page leaves room for long messages and drawings.
Keep it, read it
Guests often write what they'd never put in a review: a broken shower head, the noisy fridge, the restaurant they loved. Read the book after every few stays and fix what comes up.
Frequently asked questions
What should I put in an Airbnb guest book?
A cover with your property's name, a short welcome page and guest pages with a few questions: who stayed, where they came from, the best moment, the best thing they ate nearby, a tip for the next guests and a message for you. Leave a box for drawings: children love it.
What questions should a guest book ask?
Questions with short, personal answers work best: the best moment of the stay, a hidden gem they found, the best meal nearby, a tip for the next guests and what they would do next time. Add a five-star rating for guests in a hurry.
Is a guest book still worth it in a rental?
Yes. Guests enjoy reading what earlier guests wrote, the tips become a guide written by travellers, and you hear things guests would not put in a public review.
Can I print the guest book in two languages?
Yes. Choose a second language and every question appears in both. Questions you write yourself are printed as you type them.
Is the guest book template free?
Yes. It's free, needs no account and your book is saved in this browser only.
