Prices for one property

Card processing by Stripe or PayPal comes on top for every product (about 1.5% to 3% of the booking), and so does VAT where it applies. Haven calls its price a founding price and shows a higher future standard price; Houfy's free plan lists you on its marketplace only and needs a one-time $5.99 verification.
Booking website or property management system?
A booking website (Stayveo, Book With Haven, Houfy, Bookingmood) gives you your own site with availability, prices and online payment, and keeps your calendars in step with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo through calendar links (iCal). It is the cheapest way to start taking direct bookings for one to a few properties.
A property management system (Lodgify, Smoobu, Hospitable, OwnerRez) adds a channel manager that connects to the platforms through their official interfaces, a shared inbox for all platforms, automated messages and team tools, with a website included. It costs more, and it is worth it when you manage many properties or many platforms.
The difference that matters: calendar links vs channel manager
Calendar links are free and work with every platform, but platforms refresh them on their own schedule: Stayveo reads your Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo calendars every 30 minutes, and Airbnb reads your Stayveo calendar every few hours. A last-minute booking on one platform can therefore reach the others with a delay, so with calendar links it is wise to block same-day bookings or keep a buffer night. A channel manager pushes bookings within minutes.
Which one fits you
- One to three properties, mainly Airbnb, want direct bookings from returning guests and your own name: a booking website. Stayveo and Book With Haven are the cheapest per month, Houfy adds a marketplace.
- You already have a website: a booking widget such as Bookingmood, or the booking engines of Lodgify and Smoobu.
- Many properties or platforms, a team, or a need for one inbox: a property management system such as Lodgify, Smoobu, Hospitable or OwnerRez.
- Guests from many countries, especially in Europe: check which languages the site speaks. Stayveo's booking site and guest guide speak 12 languages, its signs and messages 28.
What Stayveo does and doesn't do
Stayveo gives you a booking website on your own domain or a free stayveo.com address, calendar sync, card payments into your own Stripe or PayPal account, a digital guest guide with printable QR signs and a live cleaning calendar, for €9 per property per month with a 30-day free trial and 0% commission. It is new (2026), it syncs through calendar links rather than a channel manager, and it doesn't set your prices automatically. If you need those, a property management system will serve you better.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest direct booking website for one vacation rental?
Of the products compared on 10 October 2026, Book With Haven costs $9 a month billed yearly ($12 monthly), Stayveo €9 or $9 a month billed monthly, and Houfy Premium $11.99 a month. All three take 0% commission; card processing comes on top.
Do direct booking websites take a commission?
Most don't: Stayveo, Book With Haven, Houfy, Bookingmood, Lodgify and OwnerRez charge 0% commission. Smoobu's Professional Flex plan adds a 0.9% booking fee and Hospitable charges 1% on direct bookings with its basic option. Card processing always costs about 1.5% to 3%.
Do I need a channel manager for direct bookings?
Not for one or a few properties. Calendar links (iCal) keep Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and your website in step for free, with a delay of minutes to hours. A channel manager pushes bookings faster and adds a shared inbox and automation, which matters more as you grow.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, with most of them, including Stayveo, which also gives you a free stayveo.com address to start with.
